01 / THE PROJECT

Set within the operational heart of Azure Charitable Foundation, the project brings together education, supported housing and horticulture. Landscape becomes a shared, productive environment for learning, independence and care.

Pioneer

A site shaped by service infrastructure is reconsidered as a landscape for learning and everyday life. Early design focuses on improving access, legibility and safety while retaining the productive character of the active garden centre campus.

Interconnected gardens support different modes of learning, activity and regulation. Productive growing spaces connect education with training, while quieter woodland, meadow and residential gardens offer retreat, routine and a sense of ownership.

Adapt

Plant communities, management and patterns of use can shift as students move through programmes and needs change. Water is integrated as a visible system, supporting biodiversity and responding to climate pressures.
